This Saturday, December 23rd at Grapefruit Wines in Hudson, we'll be celebrating the release of a number of new wines and ciders from Rose Hill Farm with a public tasting. From 3-5 pm, we'll be pouring the following new releases:
When the Bud Breaks
A full bodied aromatic Rosé—a blend of 80% Merlot for fruitiness and 20% Valvin Muscat for aromatics, both picked at peak ripeness, lightly foot crushed and direct pressed. Fermented with native yeast. Raw, unfined, and unfiltered.
1-800-Chardonnay
100% Chardonnay grown by our friends at Macari Vineyeards. 15-day carbonic maceration, aged in stainless. Native fermentation, unfined, and unfiltered.
Don't Hang Up
Medium-bodied semi-carbonic Merlot, fermented in stainless and bottled young. Wild fermented with native yeast, unfined, and unfiltered.
Scally Cap
Our friend Peter of Twin Star Orchards is rarely seen without his signature Scally Cap. Peter tended the rare apples used in this blend, comprised of equal parts Chisel Jersey, Stembridge Jersey, Somerset Redstreak, Geneva Tremletts, Brown Snout, and Redfield. Fermented with native yeast, unfined, and unfiltered. Bottled Pétillant Natural. Bitter, tannic, and dry.
Grapefruit is a wine shop with a focus on natural wines—wines produced in small batches by small producers with minimal additives and traditional methods. Rose Hill Farm products can be found there alongside wines and ciders by many friends of the farm.
