On Saturday, February 18th, we're pleased to introduce the 2nd of a series "Winter Evenings in the Taproom", a new dinner concept by Rose Hill Farm x Misto! Once a month, the Rose Hill Farm Taproom will close early to prepare for a special ticketed event that celebrates food and wine.

THE INSPIRATION

The second dinner is a Brazilian feast to coincide with and celebrate carnival season in Brazil - a passionate celebration of food, alcohol, music and fun! Your ticket for the evening includes live music by The Brazilian Duo! The menu will be served buffet style and includes traditional Brazilian food - delicious, colorful, diverse, and exciting. Because Brazil is such a melting pot of colors and customs, its cuisine varies from one region to another, reflecting the country’s diverse backgrounds and vast territory.

Local Brazilian Duo will return to the Winery Taproom to play live music during the 2/18 “Winter Evening in the Taproom”, a Brazilian Feast by Misto Rose Hill Farm!

DRINKS FORMAT

The Taproom will operate a cash bar for the evening and will offer specialty Brazilian-inspired cocktails for the occasion. Our curated drinks menu features wine/cider/beer/spirits by NYS producers and also includes plenty of NA options including spritzes with house-made shrubs, Yesfolk kombucha, coffee and our premium sparkling apple juice. Please note all Rose Hill Farm wine and cider offerings are gluten free and crafted without fining agents or added sulfites.

MENU for the 2/18 BRAZILIAN FEAST

Passed Hors d’oeuvres:

*Cod Fritters with Lemon

*Pão de Queijo Sliders – Brazilian Cheese Bread Sliders: Sausage or Broccoli Rabe + Chili

Buffet Dinner:​

*Hearts of Palm Salad with Hard-Boiled Eggs, Onions, Tomato, Potatoes, Green Olives and Cucumber

*Vegetarian Moqueca – Brazilian Stew of Squash, Sweet Peppers, Carrots, Regular and Sweet Potatoes, Garlic, Turmeric, Coconut Milk and Dende Oil

*Feijoada – Brazilian Stew of House Made Lover’s Leap Farm Pork Sausage, Smoked Gulden Farm Beef Shank, Gulden Farm Salt-Cured Beef, Bacon, Smoked Ham Hocks and Black Beans

*Brazilian Vinaigrette of Sweet Peppers, Onions, Garlic, Tomato and Parsley

*Rice

*Farofa – Toasted Yuca Flour with Onions, Garlic, Parsley and Eggs

*Couve à Mineira – Sauteed Thinly Sliced Garlicky Collard Greens

*XuXu –Sauteed Brazilian Chayote with Onions, Garlic and Herbs

Buffet Dessert:​

*Coconut Cake Bites with Fresh Whipped Cream and Shredded Coconut

*Brigadeiros – Traditional Brazilian Chocolate Truffles

KIDS:
This is a family friendly event and children under the age of 5 are free. Ticket price for children ages 5-12 years old is $25 and we will offer grilled chicken cutlet in addition to the full menu.

RESERVE YOUR DINNER TICKET

This is a limited capacity ticketed event - reservations must be made in advance. The Taproom will be closed to the public during the entire evening. We will do our very best to assign seating based on group size and your requests. Reserve your tickets early to be guaranteed optimum seating and be sure to note on your reservation if there are friends joining that you would like to sit next to. Though we encourage mixing and mingling! Due to the format of this event, we can not make changes to the menu for dietary restrictions, however the menu does include items that are vegetarian/vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free. There will be a $30 cancellation fee per adult dinner ticket if canceled less than 24 hours before the event. Dinner questions? EVENT TIMING

6pm - arrive, find your seats, get cocktails from the bar, enjoy passed appetizers and live music

7-8pm - dinner buffet

8:30pm - dessert buffet (and more music and drinks!)

10pm - taproom closes for the evening / event concludes
